Day four and the weather played ball, for the morning at least. In fact taking the bus to the Seaplane base felt like being on holiday and sitting beside lake Winnebago one could easily imagine being at the beach except that there was a constant movement of aircraft landing and taking off.

The afternoon show was unfortunately twice interrupted by rain sending everyone rushing for shelter and after the second squall we gave up and made our way back to camp. The highlight of the day no doubt was the arrival of the Thunderbirds that will do three shows, one each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The rain did not dampen the spirit in the South African Campsite as it was smiles all around as all shared their adventures of the day.

Tomorrow we will be in the trenches and weather permitting will bring you video footage of the first ever Thunderbirds display at AirVenture.
