The basic parameters of the Program are designed to achieve the following:-
1. Create an inclusive environment to enable the systematic evaluation of students in order to expose their individual personal potential regarding careers in Aviation or Tech.
Showcase all opportunities that can be explored. So, what if you are colour-blind and malnourished? If the heart and mind are pumping, we will find a good job for you…
2. Create a suitable data-analytics platform that stores every student's details and capabilities in a secure POPIA approved environment. With this system we can match potential abilities and aptitudes with educational and career opportunities.
No identity theft or masquerading permitted. All students become a number in our system.
3. Create individual C.V. (resumès) for each student to allow accurate tracking, training, assessment and mentoring to take place. This follows the student every step of the way. That's where the 'get-up, grow-up & show-up' fits in. Or not…
Funders and prospective employers can keep track of their students and watch for the Super-Stars in the making, as well as avoiding certain potential landmines…
4. Take the system to THE PEOPLE. Every town, school, air show, trade show, hound show and festival will be able to distribute kits, and encourage kids and parents to sign up and join in. (The first step of 'filter-them'.) Then go back EVERY YEAR to catch the newbies. Commercial sponsorships, professional promotions teams, incentive programs and national media coverage will bring the feet.
5. By doing a set of 'stand-alone' small kits that require no school input and VERY limited parental input to complete, we place the option at every parent and young person's door. We need to catch the youngster's attention BEFORE the screen & App addiction starts. Each kit contains full details of how to register via a 'snap-scan' type code on the instructions, as well as a second code taking them directly to a WhatsApp video on 'How to use me.' (The second step of 'filter-them'.)
6. Each student that is registered on the system will get the next complete kit No.2 sent to them directly via our commercial partners. Full instructions and additional information on aeronautical and STEM related subjects are included in each kit.
In order to progress, the parent or student needs to send pictures on how the particular project has been completed, colour scheme etc added and successful operation thereof. (The third step of 'filter-them.') We strive to keep things as simple as possible in order to enable all the initial steps and projects to be completed without adult input, in order to ensure maximum outreach.
7. This process is the 'seeding-them' phase, where we plant as much simple information as possible in order to attract their attention, arouse their interest and create a desire to go further. Marketing 101…
8. By now, we will have lost a lot of the 'not-interested' along the way, as many of those first starter kits will be dumped and ignored. This is still a positive thing, in that resources are channelled to people who WANT to learn. And more starter kits can be created with the available funding and distributed to every community. Remember this undeniable fact - we have new enquiring minds entering the possible target market EVERY YEAR.
If we didn't get their interest the first time, we will be back with a refined offering in the future. No kid left behind…
9. Now we get onto the really fun part, the third step of 'feed-them'.
We now have active participants that are sending back their results and being fed new and better kits and information.
We have 150 kits in process, in 3 tranches of 50.
We have the beginners, the intermediates and the advanced tranches.
With each kit comes the booklet with STEM and Aviation related subjects in the 3 different levels of advancement, along with all the parts, small tools, adhesives etc needed to succeed in ANY urban, rural or super-rural areas.
