Every two years Farnborough combine a major exhibition, high-level conferences and flying displays that brings together senior commercial, military, technology and supply-chain stakeholders. The 2026 edition was no exception.
With the Ukraine war in its fifth year and a ceasefire in tatters in the Gulf spiraling security risks pushed defence to the forefront of Britain's Farnborough Airshow.
Both the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare) and the United States Air Force (USAF) had an impressive line-up of aircraft to the 2026 further strengthening the show's position as a global showcase for aerospace and defence capability.
The Italian's Air Force Eurofighter displayed one of its Eurofighter Typhoon multirole fighter across all 5 days of the airshow. It also showcased a C-27J Spartan and a T-346A Master on static display. The C-27J Spartan is a rugged tactical transport aircraft designed for demanding operational environments, while the T-346A Master is a cutting-edge advanced jet trainer used to prepare pilots for next-generation fast-jet operations.
The USA line-up at the show
Fursan Al Emarat, the United Arab Emirates National Aerobatics Team arrived in Farnborough in time to do its validating for its flying display for the Farnborough International Airshow 2026. Established in 2008 by bringing together elite pilots from the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, Fursan Al Emarat made its public display debut in 2011. The team is known for routines performed by seven aircraft, symbolising the UAE's seven emirates, and for smoke trails inspired by the colours of the UAE flag. Its black and gold aircraft scheme reflects the country's heritage.

Showcasing frontline military capability, heritage aviation to next-generation commercial platforms and emerging advanced air mobility aircraft, the flying display will reflect the ambition of the international industry today.
